Spalena Microfiber Sheets Review

My husband and I finally bought a new bed.  It is so dreamy and huge.  The only problem with it, deep fit.  Very deep fit and we had a hard time finding sheets for it!  I hit Facebook to ask my friends where they got their sheets.  They all responded with various answers, such as Costco, Kohls, The Great Outdoors, and even QVC.  I tried a few and returned a few.  I soon realized that this was not going to be an easy task.  My husband was starting to think I was crazy too and a tad too picky.

After searching online one day, I found something about microfiber sheets and how soft and expensive they were.  My comforter has a microfiber material and it's really soft, but I couldn't imagine sheets in the same material.  After googling, it turned out Costco.com had Spalena microfiber sheets and they got wonderful reviews.  I just love shopping at Costco because their return policy is so great and their costs online usually include shipping.  What the hell, let's give it a try.  I hit the "add to cart" button and checked out.  For the next 4 days, I sat at my window sill waiting for the UPS man.  The wait was soooo worth it!  Because I got these:

I ripped them out of the package, threw them in the washer faster than you can say, Kirkland brand Tide.  I was so excited!  It was like finding the perfect prom dress and waiting to get it home and try it on with your favorite high heels.  I read a review that said not to use a dryer sheet or do, whatever....I did.  The sheets didn't take very long to dry because of the material.  Let me just say, heaven!

My kids were so jealous of our new sheets too.  They took turns laying in the bed, rolling around, and begging us to let them sleep there just for one night.  Unfortunately, we cannot afford a super-sized King bed like the Jolie-Pitts, so off to their room they ran.

The next week after I was absolutely sure these sheets were perfect, I ordered them each a set for their room.  It was like Christmas in June!  The color choice isn't the best, but comfort first as my Aunt Maryann says.

Let me make one point clear, I do not use the pillow case.  I still stay loyal to The Company Store and use my microfleece pillow case.  I am serious when I say, I sleep better than I have in years!!

Try these today, you won't be disappointed.  And if you are, Costco has a money-back guarantee.

Hurry before they are gone! ****Note: They are only online and not available in the stores.******

Here is the official scoop on these sheets: Spalena has married the extremely high standards of the luxury spa industry with the traditional specifications of domestic bed sizes, thus producing the spa experience at home. These sheets are constructed from our industry-proven, engineered, incredibly fine microfiber, a fabric with the hand of the finest 600 thread count cotton. The Spalena line of sheets is remarkably soft and truly unique. With its enveloping fabric and supple hand you’ll know what it is to be cuddled, be at one with your surroundings and unable to distinguish the physical from the ethereal.

oooh! We just got a costco membership so will have to take a look at these. I just got some new jersey sheets from target and they are really soft but on the warmer side. I've never heard of microfiber sheets...are they warmer sheets??

Seriously, if you are thinking about buying Spalena sheets - don't hesitate! They are sooo soft and comfy. Totally worth the money. I am the kind of shopper that hunts and reads reviews for hours before making a purchase and one day they were promoting these sheets (roadshow) at Costco and I couldn't believe how soft they were to touch. Then sleeping in them has been devine!

Spalena sheets from Costco are th best. I am also one who will spend hours.. ok days, researching any purchase. About 3 weeks ago I purchased Costco's 600 thread count sheets. Thinking I was getting a very high end thread count. They were so stiff. I washed them a number of times, but never seemed to help. Then last week I was heading to the checkout line at the Costco in Manteca, CA. When I saw the Spalena Road Show. They felt amazing. Within about 3 minutes, I had a set of Cal-King in my cart. I figured with Costco's return policy, if they did not meet my liking, they would be going back. Well, by the next morning I was on my way the Costco to return the Kirkland brand. Spalena is the best. Now I am looking at purchasing more for my childrens beds, but the road show is gone. Thank goodness for Costco online!!!

I saw the roadshow at Costco for the Spalena sheets last year and waited too long to buy them. This year I saw them and weighed the pros & cons while they dissappeared in the stores once more. I was thrilled to find them on line & jumped at the chance. Ok so the $100 price tag seemed a little extravagant but my goodness was it worth it! I don't find the pillow cases too hot and I do have the heat issues at night but they are amazingly soft and luxurious. I plan to buy a second set in another color! We love these sheets don't hesitate and with the shipping included for the king size the price is great.

Does anyone know if the Spalena sheets, made of polyester, are a more of a risk in a house fire?

Hi! I've been thinking about getting these sheets for our vacation rental property. Now that you've had your sheets for 6 months, how are they holding up? Do kid spills come out easy? Glad I found your blog!!

Laura- I would buy them for your rental for sure. The microfiber material is known for being stain resistant and these are. I have not had any troubles with them and stains. The boys still love them and I would buy another set in a heartbeat. I have a feeling your renters will be asking where you got your sheets!

As for fire resistant to anonymous, I am not sure.

The best sheets ever. Purchased a set for myself, fell in love with them and now send them as gifts to friends and family.

My mom wants these but her concern is that they'd get really hot and sweaty in the night time. Any thoughts?

Sorry to everyone who loves these sheets, but I don't like mine at all. They stick to me and end up all twisted around me by morning time. It seems like they will be too thick and hot during the summer time too. I bought mine at costco and was so sure that I would love them, that i discarded the receipt and the packaging. I still may try to return.

Anonymous- I don't get sweaty and my husband doesn't either from these sheets. I use them in the summer in Arizona and trust me, it is hot here. I have been using them all winter too and love them equally. The great thing about buying from Costco is that you can return them anytime. Just keep your receipt.

Denise- I am sorry they didn't work for you. I would still try to return them as Costco can look up the code and maybe your membership to make sure you did buy them there. Also, they may just give you a store credit but that's better than nothing. I did not like any of their other sheets. Good luck! Jean

I too thought these were good sheets, I actually loved them a lot. Then they started getting FUZZY? I have had them since summer so they have been washed a few times but I never expected this. AND I did wash them as recommeded by the manufacuturer. I will not recommend these sheets.

Thank you SO MUCH for your comments! :) My only big dilemma is what color to get. What is everyone's preference? White or cream?

Thanks so much everyone!

I would suggest cream if you are worried about keeping them perfectly clean. I have white too and love them. The white looks nicer but the cream is more practical. Update: I also bought the white sheets for my mother and she loves them too.

I to bought these Spalena polyester sheets and have found it difficult when turning in bed. I put my cotton sheets back on the bed and had no problem so these sheets are going back to Costco

Dear Anonymous: I am sorry my Costco post bores you but these really are the best sheets made. They do not sell them but hopefully they do again soon. Also, do you have some suggestions for posts? I like to keep my readers happy. Have a great day! Jean
