I have to admit, I have watched girls singing Broadway songs on YouTube. It is fun to see the talent out there and also to see how people perform. I just love it when they first come on the video and say, "Hi Everyone!" or "Hi Guys!". I guess they know how many people are actually watching them by how many views they have.

Today, I came across a video of how to apply makeup for a sexy pirate costume. If you watch this video on You Tube, they will suggest similar videos. It is amazing how many videos there are out there. Enjoy!

How to Apply False Eyelashes

Have you ever used false eyelashes? I have always been tempted for special events but didn't want to look overdone. For Halloween this year, I have decided to try them out. I looked online and found this great guide to apply them. You can view it by clicking here.

I found some great lashes online at Sally Beauty Supply. They have a wide selection and they also have some great temporary hair colors for Halloween. These lashes were $3.50 but I found some at Wal-mart for $2.87.

Bellissima Salon and Spa

I am so excited! I just started using Facebook and I have hooked up with so many high school friends. It is fun to look back at how we used to wear our hair and make fun of each other through tagging each other on photos. What is not fun is when your husband posts pictures of you without permission and then tags you so all your friends see it. Who taught him to use the scanner anyhow?

In my discoveries, I found out that a friend from my high school tennis team owns a salon here in Tucson! It is called Bellissima Salon and Spa. They carry Bumble and Bumble, Pureology, Phyto and Framesi hair products. I am so excited and I will have to venture to her salon very soon.

Trendy Reusable Grocery Totes

At work we were discussing the different selection of grocery store reusable bags. A few of us were embarrassed that we hadn't done our part for Mother Nature and we sat around the rest of the day with guilt-ridden faces.

I knew I had to rush to Target or Whole Foods to get a cute reusable bag soon. I have to show my kids that they shouldn't waste plastic bags. In fact, San Francisco is going to ban them and Whole Foods doesn't carry them anymore. More stores will follow suit within the next few years. Also, with the economy, it will be a great way for them to cut costs and use the "environment" excuse.

After watching the Planet Green channel all night, I decided to do a little research on the latest and greatest in reusable bags. I am also going to challenge myself to not be wasteful in my makeup usage, recycle each container and start looking for environmental friendly products.

For the environment, I use less water in my child's bath, I tell my boys to turn off the water when they brush their teeth, we recycle, we turn off lights when we are not in the room (we could be better though) and we have switched almost all of our lights to low energy bulbs, use a programmable thermostat, use a time of use electric meter, water down our soap when it is low and other little things. I am sure there are a lot of improvements we could make and I intend to do that in 2009.
