I admit it, I hated the UGG trend too. I hated seeing Pamela Anderson in a mini with Uggs walking in LA in the 83 degree weather. I hated seeing all the stars on their movie sets wearing UGGs and their white fluffy robes.
Until one day, when I saw a pair in real life. I slipped them onto my sore, aching feet and POW. I got ugged. It was a sweet sensation. Then I dreamt of all the places I could wear them and get away with it: to work on weekends, to the grocery store up the street, to pick up my kids at school, to run to my mom's house, on an airplane, in the ski lodge, to run to Blockbuster, to run to get the mail (the Spackmans might be out), to run to the post office.
Then my list got longer: to run to Target, to run to work on a weekday to check something. Oh, heck....I could wear them ANYWHERE! I then looked at the price tag and jumped back down to reality. Another year without Uggs. Poor me.

Then, someone VERY sweet and wonderful told me that I should ask for them this year from Santa. And that person just might be the real Santa in my life.
Sooooooo, if you see Moody walking around town in some Uggs, you better not make fun of me. You better just understand that I have waited 4 years for Uggs to become boring and normal, so that I, too, can look like Pamela Anderson. Minus the "top" of course.
Thank you Santa. I believe!

I have two pair of uggs and I can't get enough of them!!! I know the price is steep but my first pair is 3 yrs old and still look new. I wear them almost everyday in the winter with jeans!!
I bought my niece Ugg coquette (slipper/shoe) for back to school and my sister is getting the same from me for Christmas. The older girls wanted some for Christmas but Gianna is happy with the American Eagle version- only $59!)and Brielle wanted a look alike pair from Delia's for just 58.50- because they are multi coloered zebra print, if you can picture that. I am starting to feel like odd man out. Maybe....
Ok....I don't see what the hype is all about...but I've never put a pair on my precious feet!
You've inspired me...next time I stop by the mall I'm trying on a pair.
If you've got me addicted to something fabulous...I hope my Santa and your Santa are friends! :)
Thank you Bridgett and Gina for the input. I think I will love them too. I will also check out the American Eagle version. I love that store!
Sara- get to the mall now!
girl, they are the best! I had my first pair in 7th grade when know one knew of them because I had family who worked with them. They are so comfortable, I have to pry them off Dillon in spring. THey last forever, I have a pair from a few years ago and wish they would fall apart so I could convince myself I can buy another pair, who knows maybe I just will :)
Thanks Leah! That is great to know. I am going to try them on again this weekend and pick a pair.
